The Czech Republic is known for being one of the cheapest cities in Europe to visit. The food is much more affordable, and a pint of beer is about 2 Euros.
Prague is a popular destination for young guys from Great Britain or Germany who arrive in Prague to drink because it is so cheap for them. If you are looking for a unique beer experience, we recommend you to visit the pub Zlý Časy or BeerGeek where they have a large selection of beers.
The experience was incredible and went down a storm with the lads! Firstly, the bar itself (oldest in Prague apparently) was very cool and offers a very novel taste of historic Prague. The entertainers/staff are all in authentic costume and really play the part, right down to the wenches slamming the beers on the table, which was a nice touch!
Beer is still cheaper than water, even though there have been recent rumblings in Parliament about a law that would make at least one non-alcoholic drink the cheapest item on the menu. Weather Prague’s climate mirrors that of much of Central Europe.
Popular beer snacks are ‘utopenci’ (sliced sausage pickled in vinegar with onions) and ‘topinky’ (fired toasted bread). Some pubs serve snacks such as the famous Prague ham with gherkins. Most pubs may close a little bit early, especially on weekdays, at around 11 pm, which allows you to visit many clubs or bars.
Czech Beer. Czechs are the world’s largest beer consumers, and the drink is so widespread across the country that it’s not rare for it to be cheaper than water. Needless to say, beer is one of the things you should buy in Prague. Pilsner Urquell is the most famous Czech beer, followed by Gambrinus, also brewed at the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.
But the best way to eat out in Prague is by visiting its beer pubs (vincular a Prague’s beer pubs). Similar in style to taverns, Irish pubs or Spanish bars, having a beer in one of these establishments makes the perfect excuse for catching up with people and having a bite to eat at the same time, with top quality produce.
Beer Spa Prague Bernard. Beer spa is another popular place, where beer lovers in Prague go. The best is Beer Spa Prague Bernard. Great locations – near Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Duration: 90 – 120 minutes; Unlimited beer consumption; Book here: Beer Spa Prague Bernard; You can read this personal experience from Prague beer spa
1. Re: Cheap trendy shopping like H&M? 11 years ago. Save. It is actually quite expensive for clothing - all the chains such as H+M, M+S, Zara, Benetton - list is too long to mention - are present, and you can find them quite easily, especially if you go to one of the hypermalls that are dotted in and around the city, but they are the same as
An evening of fine dining for two in a mid-range restaurant in the city center can cost around 800 CZK. A bottle of beer costs around 43 to 50 CZK, while you can get a cup of cappuccino for 56 CZK. Prague street food prices are relatively very cheap when compared to actual restaurants. However, most people still prefer to eat in the restaurants.
